Setup Voip Using Trixbox
InPhonex is proud to support Internet telephony equipment (IP Phones) including Sipura 2000, Sipura 3000, Cisco 186, Linksys PAP2 and other SIP phone adaptors. We also support Asterisk PBX, Trixbox and offer turn-key VoIP Reseller business opportunities to let entrepreneurs and businesses resell voice over Internet (VoIP) under their brand name.
Get something like a CISCO SPA 112, configure it for faxing:
On FREEPBX Create an extension for the fax device using chan_sip.
(can't remember where I got the following from but have tested and it does work.)
Select Voice in the Menu Bar, and then select either Line 1 or Line 2 depending on which line you have used for your fax, In the Network Settings section, enter the following settings:
Network Jitter Level: very high
Jitter Buffer Adjustment: no
Voip Setup And Configuration
Next, in the Supplementary Service Subscription section, enter the following settings:
Call Waiting Serv: no
Three Way Call Serv: no
Now, in the Audio Configuration section, enter the following settings to support T.38 fax:
Preferred Codec: G711u (USA) or G711a (rest of the world)
Use Pref Codec Only: yes
Silence Supp Enable: no
Echo Canc Enable: no
FAX Passthru Codec: G711u (USA) or G711a (rest of the world)
FAX Passthru method: ReINVITE
FAX Enable T38: yes
FAX T38 ECM Enable: yes
Fax Tone Detect Mode: Callee only
Click Submit to save your settings.
Verify that your fax machine BAUD rate is set to a speed between 7200 and 14400. I suggest 9600.
You should now be able to successfully send (and receive) a fax over your chosen VoIP provider using your Cisco SPA112 or SPA122.
Note: This will work most of the time; however faxing over VOIP is not 100% reliable. Any spikes in latency are going to cause the fax to fail.
Setup Voip Using Existing Lan
Hey guys, I guess this is the best sub I found for this question.
Im trying to configure a freepbx that I have on vmware workstation with voip.ms as my provider.
Now, I dont know anything about VoIP, but im trying to learn. I got it where I setup a few softphones and was able to dial to the extensions (big deal right?) , but I want to be able to do incoming and outgoing calls. I purchased a DID from voip.ms and have been trying to configure it for the past two days. I contracted voip.ms support, who were kind to email me twice and stop lol.
I have screens, I took steps from wiki's but I still cant seem to dial out or in. Can someone help me? I have an inbound route to my extensions, and I think I set it up correctly.
Again, Im trying to learn VoIP. It seems there is a growing demand, and the people who actually do set it up in the small business side dont know what they are doing, not that I do either, but alot of times many of the calls we get about VoIP end up with the user switching to a pbx analog system with standard phones.
