• Situation: I have a DVD which is a copy of an old 8mm home movie shot 50 years ago. It is a .VOB file. I would like to add it to Windows Movie Maker, in Windows XP, to add with the 200 or so still photos (c. 1959-1965) that I have scanned into my PC + another 200 digital photos taken at the recent 50th reunion.
• My problem is that most commercial software wants to convert from .VOB to .MP4.
• Movie Maker only recognises MPEG/mp2.
• Tried: I managed to run it and save in Nero Vision and save as MPEG2 but Movie Maker still will not recognise it.
